YORK LODGE 236 has been assisting visually impaired residents of “WILBERFORCE HOUSE’” in addition to a recent donation to the House Bro Michael Winter arranged the purchase of Specially Developed Armbands which are worn by the walking assistants.
The High Viz armbands have a Strop that the visually impaired hold providing a secure and reassuring attachment to their assistant, rather than the assisting having to hold the persons arm.

Michael along with the group leader Karen (orange) are also part of the walking charity “Move The Masses” who’s aim is combat social isolation and promote mental wellbeing through movement . Members of the charity received “The Kings Award For Voluntary Service” last year .
